Hearing Link are a charity organisation supporting people with any stage of hearing loss and the friends, family and colleagues around them. They were after a smart, new, custom WordPress website that showcased their core information on coping with the loss of hearing, and encouraged people to donate and get involved.
Their existing website was built and hosted by a software company specialising in non-profit fundraising and management software. The team at Hearing Link were eager to move their website over to WordPress instead due to stability and scalability issues, but mostly so that their non-technical team members could simply update and manage the website themselves.
Hearing Link had previously attempted to move their website to WordPress but were unsuccessful. This time, they were keen to find professionals who would guide them through the migration and offer training to their team to help with the transition. Their new WordPress website had to follow their existing brand guidelines and integrate with the specialised online fundraising, relationship management, and multichannel marketing software they were currently using.
It was essential to them that the website was also fully optimised for natural search and was fully accessible to comply with UK legislation regarding the Disability Discrimination Act. This included the website effortlessly adapting to every screen size and device so that the organisation could reach the largest number of web users possible.
