Head of WordPress Support

We’re looking for someone to be our Head of Support. If you can wrestle a LAMP stack, wrangle a WordPress theme, rescue a client in distress, run a profitable support team and put effective systems, processes and tools in place, you’ve got a home here.

Skills & Requirements

You are someone who:

  • cares about helping people and businesses achieve their intentions online
  • is passionate about providing exceptional customer experience
  • has a strong aptitude for solving complex technical issues
  • has 2yrs+ experience working in a WordPress support or development role
  • has excellent multi-tasking and workload prioritisation skills
  • is a great communicator, written or spoken
  • finds things that need doing and does them, well
  • is experienced with project management, accounting, support ticketing and CRM systems
  • is excited at the prospect of joining a talented and growing team with ambitious goals
  • wants to lead and grow our support team
  • is happy to work hard (and sometimes very hard) as long as the rewards are there
  • always has an eye on the commercial side of the business
  • will enjoy working closely with the director and a great team of developers with a broad range of skills and experience

Your skills:

  • advanced development experience with WordPress core, plugins & themes – PHP, HTML, CSS, JS
  • advanced WordPress hosting experience – Linux system administration, Varnish, NGINX, Apache and MySQL in increasing order of importance
  • advanced knowledge of networking fundamentals eg, DNS, (s)FTP
  • use of git for version control, deployment and collaboration
